Broad jaws are designed to give maximum holding pressure with minimal risk of damage to the reptile being handled. The streamlined tongs ensure maximum efficiency in any situation while weighing under 1 1/2 pounds. We manufacture our snake tongs out of two materials. Our Aluminum Snake Tongs are manufactured with cast aluminum jaws and smoothly contoured grasping surfaces to minimize discomfort. The tongs are recessed far enough into the head to prevent pinching or gathering of the skin. The cast aluminum handle grip commands an interior steel cable, which activates the jaws. This provides the handler with the precise amount of pressure being applied to the snake. Our Lightweight Composite Snake Tongs are manufactured from a material that is stronger than aluminum, yet extremely lightweight. They are manufactured from the finest high grade composite, and are built to last. This combination makes these snake tongs an extremely effective device for restraining reptiles and snakes. Both of our Snake Tong Lines are manufactured in the following standard sizes: 24", 30", 36", 42", 48", 60", and 72".
